I Ride: 2009 CBR600RR

New here, just got a 09 cbr600rr

Hello,

I just picked up a black and green cbr600rr at Carl's cycles. Some of you have probably seen it there, they had it for awhile. Anyway, just wanted to say hi.

I Ride: on sidewalks if needed.

I almost BOUGHT the same color bike at Canyon Honda a couple weeks ago, but didn't want to spend that much for a bike until I get my wife through school and makes more money. But hella nice ride!!! look forward to riding with you.

LONG LIVE THE HONDAS!!!!

Thanks for the welcomes! I have already done a few little things to it....Removed all the warning stickers, and I removed the orange and red reflectors that you can see in the pic. I also mounted my radar detector on it, and added a CF pro grip tank pad. Many more mods to come as soon as the $$ comes

That's my thinking, do you have any visual alert system on it? I also ordered H.A.R.D to mount in my helmet.

Welcome. Hopefully you got that thing at the price they were offering it at last month when I talked to them about it. They had it for cheaper than I've seen a new 600 go for in about 5 years. Either way it's a sweet bike.

Yes, I'm 16 (let the bashing begin) It is my first street bike but not my first bike in general, I've been riding dirt bikes since I was 5, and I am going to get a F/E Steven.

No bashing. We are just old. I have leathers older then you. (No, they don't fit my fat ass either, thanks for asking).

Spoiled much?

http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/tha...-on-nightline/ LOL!

A CBR for a 16 year old seems a bit... well... lets just say we all hope you have the maturity to not get carried away. We say this because we all for the most part have gotten carried away while being older, and are lucky enough to still be here.

Not spoiled that much. I don't like talking about myself much, but I do feel that I'm more mature then 99% of 16 year olds. I've been home schooled for the past 4 years, and I think that has helped a lot learning about the "real" world. I'm not gonna lie I ride my bike harder than most would with a new bike but I know the limits of my skill as I'm still getting use to a street bike.

Carefull! When people say they "know the limits of their skills", its because they have crashed right after discovering those limits.

I had my own landscaping company last year. I didn't start it back up this year as there are WAY to many people doing it with everyone being laid off. Plus we were in the middle of moving/remodeling. I have a friend that works for UPS as a driver and he makes some decent money ($20 hour) so I'm currently waiting to turn 17 (minimum age) so I can try and get on with UPS and work my way up to a driving position.

Mine's similar, but I mounted a sheetmetal plate for it to sit on. I like yours though, looks clean. I think I'll try that.
For power, I wired it into my low beam circuit.

It's a Fast Idle Lever. On the 1000, I think they did away with it after 01. It's FI, so it's not actually a choke, it just raises the idle, for starting up on cold mornings I guess. I never use it.

They change everything on the 1k I believe the year (might be 2) before the 600. That is why your 02 doesn't have it.
