New to 2 wheels

Hey everyone,
Ive always been intersted in bikes and said someday I was gonna buy one but always put it off and ended up saying next season. Well I finally bought my first bike (08 GSX-R600) and figured I'd introduce myself. I've been trying to get as much riding in as possible and was hoping to perhaps find a few people to ride with.

Those were took right after I picked it up. Since then i've eliminated the rear fender and picked up some better protective gear! More mods to come

Yea as far as a first bike I was 100 percent sold on a GSXR. Frame sliders were on there when I bought bought it slightly used from the previous owner and already saved me once. Was rolling up the driveway and was a little too hard on the front break before putting my right foot down and went down. No damage except a smudge on the slider cus I was pretty much stopped and assisted it down.

Steven32 how do you like the Akra shorty exhaust? I'm thinking of swapping the headers out for an 07 set and going with either that or an M4 shorty.

Welcome! Best advice I can give you is take the STARS program.. the beginner or advanced. Either way you'll learn a lot of stuff that you will actually use on the road and if you don't have your endorsement (I hope you do) that's one way to get it

Get in the habit of going LEFT foot down first and you can finish your stop with the rear brake (right foot)...

Already took the STAR course and it was extremely helpful even got the pleasure of watching captcrash mess around after class one day. I normally do foot down with the left and finish breaking with rear but my nephew ran out in front of me and I panicked and went alittle heavy on the front. Couldn't catch myself in time.

I have a Yosh pipe on mine when i bought my 750, thought it was not loud enough, so had the cat cut out and made it sound perfect, just a thought

Nice looking bike!

So what better gear did you get? Can't have both you and Reke rolling the DC's. LMAO
