yeah I have been thinking of doing the action shot thing for a few years now. Bailey has been trying to convince me to give it a try for at least a year now. Unfortunately I am too lazy to go to Lowman unless I am riding. I am open to suggestions for you guys on the best location to set up in...or should I say." what is your favorite ride Route and specfically which section or curve?"
I will take a drive up there next wek sometime and take a look at the road/ photo ops.

LOL...I will tell you the greatest secrect in Photography...Take ALOT of pictures!! Only show the good ones...HAHAHAHa. but seriuosly it just takes practice..or back in film days...a part time job just for film.

But let me know when you have a chance and Ill shoot it for you. I need to get lots of different bikes shot so I can launch my website this year...before the riding season takes hold.

Cool..I have a few cameras.. I shot these with my Nikon D200/ Sony/Maxxum 7D.
I tend to switch to the camera that will work best for the subject. For Posed shots like this I can use the D200. If we move in to action I will grab a D700 or D2/D2x from the shop. If i decide to jump into the Side of Road" kind of thing this year I will get a D700 for the lighter weight.

@ R1DON: cool let me know. I have some of you from last year out in the desert that I used in my newspaper portfolio

@tc305: I plan on stopping by for just a minute or 2, Wife has plans for us. But I will pop in between races to say hello.

Take a lot of pictures is easy, telling which are the good ones, well, I am out. I have no taste. That's where I need the help. Lets get a few bikes together, would you prefer indoor or outdoor.

Would anyone have a large (clear) area that we could turn into a studio for some shots? So that we could make it easy on Zed to do this?

I have been trolling the back streets of boise looking for places to shoot. It will make the contraversy of the bull###t session before the ride more enjoyable for sure...j/k

Outdoor is best...I am looking to get a very specfic look (I gotta get something out of this for me!!)...I showed it to bailey last night. Backgrounds dont really matter as I am gonna blow it out with flash anyway.
I was thinking up at the train depot for a lot of bikes. will put the capital in thebackground really nice.

I know a few guys that used Lake Lowell as a background. That looked really nice too. Maybe Lucky Peak on the dam or down sandy point when there is water down there

Nice to see how they spruce up the flowers in the sping.

That would be a great shot say around sunrise or sunset. Thanks for giving me a great site confirmation. Now who has a portable generator I can borrow to run all the lights I will need for that?

Your bikes look awesome. Makes me wanna find a 600 for halfpint, and lower it about about 4 inches so she can ride it. Projects are a lot of fun.
