I Ride: Victory Kingpin, The Harley is deceased :(

I've gone over to the dark side!

As some of you know Suzy hated her Buell Blast. Today it was traded in for a new 2009 883 Sportster. I can already see the money going into it for pipes, fuel management, windshield.......

That doesn't look much like a fishing boat
Congrats it's a nice looking ride

She still wanted a bike more than a boat. Since she's only 5 feet tall, hardly is the. Only manufacturer that makes a short bike. They gave me $2500 for the Blast in trade.

She loves it. Went for a short ride this evening. The speedo way optimistic on it though. Mine is calibrated within 0.1% with my GPS. Her's is like 7 mph off at 50 MPH.

That's ok, the important thing is it fits her and she's happy with it. Maybe we'll see her on some rides later this summer.

its not a boat but it will make a great boat anchor when you get one.

Actually, it's not so much her height that's the determining
factor. Her inseam length is what counts with seat height.

Nonetheless, it's her choice as to what motorcycle fits her
best regardless of make or model. Is that the 883 Hugger?

Let us know when you are ready for pipes and a power commander. We sell power commander's for harley's for $240.00. Pipes, take your pick, and a Arlen Ness intake would look pretty good to. That is the same bike my wife has and she love's it. Congrats.

Not my cup of tea, I love cruisers but they look to much like standards for me. ( Former and Future HD owner) What really nice about the sportsters though is they can be picked up used for a song. And a bike you ride is better than a bike that sits so good for her.

If you want to make a HD go fast, or even just sing like it should, Karl is the one you want to talk to. He has building bikes longer than many of us have been alive. He build my old Sportster. Here is his site, look through his gallery and note the Bonneville certified 200MPH HD
