7/22 Sunday. Bogus off road. KSU @ 11:30.

Unload at the top and head North. I have no idea where I'm going, just riding high up where it is cool. Off road only, medium speed.

I'm probably not going to be able to make it because I have to work on my car but just in case are you going to unload at the second lodge up top by the condos?

Lower lot. Looking at google maps, the road I think to take is at the far west/NW end of the lower lot.

How was the ride? I stayed home to change my PS and AC belts on my car only to find out I was sent the wrong AC belt.

That sux. The AC belt is kind of important in this heat.

The ride was good. Covered 80 miles in a little over 4 hours, I need to remember to stop more often. Most all of it was above 5000' and a lot of it was above 6000'. Air tempature got hot a couple times, but didn't last long. I didn't want to come off the mountain into this heat.

That would be impressive, but no. All road, some of it a mini van could drive. All of it could be done in a pickup or SUV with reasonable ground clearance. Now that I think about it, I remember passing a young guy in mom's mini van.

The second image in this link is what the GPS recorded.
GPS'd it.

Where there very many (if any) places to cut off and do some single track where you went?

Honestly, I don't know. I've never ridden any of this area before, I'm learning it as I go. Since I'm riding alone and low skilled, I'm not taking many risks and staying mostly on well traveled roads.
