I Ride: 98 XR400 plated

Bogus Thurs & Fri evenings (11th, 12th)

I'll be riding Bogus this evening and tomorrow evening, Oct 11th and 12th. I work during the day, but I can make a KSU by 6pm at the latest (maybe as early as 5:30p).

A couple corners will have the sun in your eyes, but there well be no traffic and back at the bottom by 7pm (unless a long BS session happens). I won't be able to ride during the week with the evenings getting shorter and the time change coming.

Road was good. A bit more traffic than I thought, but none of it got in my way. And sun my eyes wasn't as bad as I thought it would be either.

I rode last Fri, Sat and Mon. I can do it again. Tonight, I ran the upper part 3 times. That seems to be where the most corners are in the shortest distance.

Everyone is appreciated... cruisers, sumos, whatever. Everyone just rides at their own pace. Did you get your forum name from the etrade baby commercial? Awesome!

Guess I should have put a meet place. I'm going to say at the Jacksons at Bogus Basin Rd and Hill Rd., on the north side of Pac Out.

Good ride tonight. There were 3 of us. Met up with shankopotomuss at the top, that made 4 for the trip down. I'm calling it the Torque Monster. Talked to some ladies on horses, traffic wasnt bad, road was typical.

I'll let shankopotomuss tell about his new ride.

When does everyone want to meet Saturday?

On our way down James passed me in tight left hand turn. I wasn't expecting this so I pinched a Mohawk in my new seat. The cool fall air and turn practice was awesome. Thanks guys, really enjoyed it.

Catch a Tiger XC by its tail!!! The last bike review said it wasn't very off road friendly. Tigers don't make good pets. I sure want one.

Cool DS movie.

I Ride: a dirt bike with street tires

The tiger is sick!!! I want the xc version with the 21" spokes up front!

The Tiger explorer XC comes out next April. It comes in one color green.

I would do a review but, with my limited experience it wouldnt that mean much.

My decision process in choosing the tiger explorer was based mostly in its street cred. All of the reviews I read noted how much performance and fun it was on the pavement. My Second choice would be the KTM SMT 990 at nearly the same price tag So, bang for the buck, cruise, heated seats and grips, lots of electronics and shaft drive won me over. Over all I think Triumph got it right on if your looking for a 90/10 street/dirt-road long range sport adventure bike. I would not consider the Tiger Explorer a "duel sport" like the KTM 990 adventure. At this point I believe I have a serious BACK ROAD BRAWLER.

The build quality looks exceptional. the one problem so far is the left mirror likes to loosen up. before I lock-tight it I will try some teflon tape on the threads.

That would be good, thanks.

I'll make a post for it, since this one was hijacked by shank's new 2013, 1200cc, Triumph, Tiger.
