I Ride: 2008 FJR | That time of year again....
Hi guys. It is almost time to put the R1 away for the cold/winter season. Just want to offer a helping hand for any of you that have a winter project, like mounting up new tires before spring time, or if you need help pulling your swingarm so you can polish it up, or even strip and polish the old rims, stuff like that. If you are the winter riding type, you are the MAN (or WOman) That just aint for me.Take care all, and be careful out there! |

I Ride: 2008 FJR | Yup.
I talked to you yesterday on the way home. Yeah, that was me on my R1. And yes, it is time for a new tire or two!! Let me know when you want to do it, just not today. It is my sons birthday today. I have all the stands and stuff. To do both your tires should take me an hour or two at the most. Last edited by Idaho Wolverine; 03-18-2009 at 02:09 PM. |

I used to work at a bike shop here in Mountain Home and always used theirs. I will see if I can find a carb sync. Easy to use, I just never needed to buy one. Hope your wife gets on the bike soon! |

Fairings are off and all. I had forgotten that I was running 100% distilled water from the last Miller track day. Luckily I remembered and drained it before I had a cracked block. | |

I've got water+water wetter in my bike...of course my baby also gets a heater setting right next to her in the garage also, so she doesn't get cold.

I Ride: 2007 YZFR1 | That great for the f4 but did you drain the water out of the fz? I'm not sure that water wetter is an antifreeze. That would be 2 expensive lessons on top of the rodeo lesson. I suppose if you can afford to run a heater for your bike its probably a mute point.

The FZ has a heater next to it as well. but I plan on changing it. As soon as I can stop dumping money into the Rodeo. Changed the tranny filter and fluid, front brake rotors and pads all the way around.

Water Wetter is NOT an anti-freez. You have a heater in the garage? Hope it is not electric or is on a generator back-up. Not that Idaho power has EVER gone out for a day or so in the past...... |
