Whatch out for that car!

Now if no more of the people attending our course get hit by a car, we should be ok!

That is the first time someone in one of my classes has been hit by a car comming back from lunch!

We had a girl show up on a Harley. We went to lunch and on her way back to the range for the 2nd part of the day, a guy pulled out and T-boned her. Thankfully, no damage to the bike or her. Her husband was pissed. Just ironic...come to attend a safety course and get run over by a driver not paying attention, who oh btw is a bike rider...lol.

I'd like to chime in here to make sure the guy driving the car is not wrongfully convicted of some crime here.

The driver of the car is in my squadron. I looked at his car, he did not T-Bone her like perceived above. The damage on his car does not show that in any way shape or form. If he would have T-Boned her, the front of his car and the biker would have both had more damage and she would have sustained leg injuries.

Car driver told me about the accident. He told me that he never actually hit her bike. He stopped so close that she could not put her foot/leg down. So, she basically set the bike down on the hood of his car. Not blaming her on this. Car driver takes full responsability for the accident. Gave his insurance information and he wants to pay for the repairs to her bike out of his pocket. The driver of the car said there was some minimal damage to her bike.

The car driver is retired Air Force and continues his government service working for the USAF in a civil service capacity.

Bike rider is not hurt, that's what is important here, lets keep the focus on people not getting hurt. Bikes are a dime a dozen and can be fixed and replaced. It's just an ass pain to do so.

Don't witch hunt this driver over this, he is a good man and that's why I'm here being his internet lawyer.

OK, fair is fair

OK, maybe he did not directly hit her, maybe he did, I was not there. But he had to cross a lane and a half and stop close enough for her to set her bike on his car I guess.

And her hiway bar and sadle bag took the hit instead of her leg. Minumal damage is correct. Very little hurt at all. Just kinda sucks, thats all.

Be safe all!! and watch out for the other guy!!

I know everyone puts their own "Spin" on things. I talked to the driver and looked at his car. I'm just going off what he told me. With the damage on his car, his version of the story seems very legit. I just want to make sure this does not get "Additional Spin" on what happened.

Accidents will happen, let's just hope people don't get hurt......ride safe.
