Best place to ride near Mountain Home?

I live in Mountain Home (new to the area). Where is the best place to go to ride that is not that far away? I can't imagine any fun roads in Mountain Home. 25mph speed limit puts a damper on fun too!

A nice place to ride is head up highway 20 past Wal-Mart. Towards fairfeild then you can either come back that way or head over to gooding and take I 84 back up to mt. Home.

Depends on if you want a long or short ride. I like to go to Glens Ferry on old route 30 down through Hamett and then come back up 84. The long way back is through Bliss and then to Gooding (city of rocks) North to Fairfield and then back on Highway 20 which brings you back to walmart in town. That is a long ride and alot of straights but the mountain road I think it is 46 between gooding and FairField has got some good curves. Total trip time about 3 hours give or take 30 minutes. As always while in Idaho watch for Wildlife esp. COWS!!! Here is the link to the map of that long ride.

That would be a great ride through there (as long as the mormon crickets are not in season), but its a really long ride to get there.

The best Idea is to spend the night in Elko, drink, gamble, drink, drink. Then ride home (sometime after NOON)
