PoltART XR50 Pit/Stunt Bike Build

So I picked up an xr50 the other day to make into a pit/stunt bike.

So far I got a K&N filter on the thing, and waiting to get paid to get more parts.

I will get better pics tomorrow, but I got a lot of parts in the mail today!

I put a new handlebar setup on it for a big boy feel. This came with all new controls. I put a complete stunt kit on it as well. Handbrake, 12 bar, and foot pegs on the rear wheel.

Tomorrow I will install adult suspension on it rear shock and front forks. I did putt around the neighborhood today after installing handlebars and stunt kit, this thing is soooo much more fun!!!

Alrighty I got some pics.

So I finally was able to place an order for some essentials. I got myself raised handlebars with new lines and throttle tube and an ASV lever. I also got an entire stunt kit for it, 12 bar, ASV handbrake, and stunt pegs for the rear wheel. And an adult suspension setup which includes a rear shock and front fork replacements.

Here is what it all looked like when I got it out of the box. I was so excited!

And here are some pics of the stuff installed and a couple of me playing around today.

I still need to install fork springs, but was too excited with everything else.

Do you want the honest answer, or the cool one? Either way Yes, yes it is!

But I checked to make sure there were no cars parking before I commenced with the bad assery!

Thanks guys.

Yea Lynn with those stock bars I had to keep my legs on the sides and in the air while in a wheelie. Now I can do so much more! It's like a new bike.

And yea once I put the new bars on it, this thing instantly became sooooooo much more fun!!!

I'm planning on doing the fork suspension today and placed an order on an 88 kit, so I am pumped to get that!

I'm thinking of getting something like this to play with. Is everything bolt on?

Oh yea man, this thing is soooo easy to work on! I love my 50! Everything takes only minutes to install, and simply bolts on.

I plan to paint this thing in the future and taking the engine out only takes 4 bolts and that is it. It's so basic!!! But sooooooo fun!

No!

It's keeping it up that's the problem....

When I transition on the bike it usually doesn't have enough power to keep my weight going, so with an 88 cc upgrade it will have that extra torque to keep the wheelie up and allowing me to hop around.
