I Ride: 3 Stunt Bikes

Stunting Information - Differences?

Okay I am thinking about turning my 1000 into a stunt bike. I have several questions before I start investing.

1. What is the difference between a crash cage and a sub cage?
2. Which 12 o clock bars are better, the flat kind or the round kind? I see both in use, but which is better and why? Or, whats the difference? I can see the round one still throwing you to a side when the flat kind might throw you back forward?
3. What are some sites where I can purchase stunting products? Such as adding the 2nd rear brake?

I Ride: on sidewalks if needed.

1. A "Crash" cage goes around the motor in front of where your knees are when your riding, "Sub Cage" is what goes under the tail and supports the Subframe. These also give you a stronger rear pegs to stand on when doing stand up wheelies.

2. 12 O'clock bars: Flat ones are the normal but can turn into a guillitene when stoppies go bad and your bike flips over. But the round ones don't provide the stable scrape that the flat one provides.

3. www.stuntlife.com www.stuntride.com

My register and start surfing those two sites and most of your questions will be answered.

I Ride: ...............

Don't stunt a Gixxer, especially not a 1000. You'll have a broken frame in no time. Sell that thing and buy an F4i or a 636 if you are really serious about stunting. Buy a bike that you have absolutely no emotional ties to because you WILL destroy it. You can pick up a bike that is set up and ready to stunt for $2000-$2500 all day long. It'll cost you half that to set yours up and then about triple that when the frame breaks.

I agree with Shaner on this one. It will take more money and time with the gsxr, and then the constant fixing on the bike. here is an excellent deal for a stunt bike!

I agree. I don't think the 1000 would be a good stunt bike.
