Talking Apex Track Day at Miller – Oct 20th

Is anyone considering on going to the Saturday October 20th Apex track day at MMP?

It will be a day session on the West course. Cost is Approx $199 (less if you have the BRN Discount)
This will be the last track day put on by Apex for this year which means first time riders cost will be $99.

If you are interested in renting a garage, this is the info I have collect so far:

Day garages (http://www.millermotorsportspark.com...y-garages.html) are 15' by 18' and cost $50 per day.

GP garages (http://www.millermotorsportspark.com...ge-rental.html) are 15' by 25' and cost $125 per.

Six to eight bikes will fit in the garage depending on the amount of tools and gear you bring, I would not recommend any more than six because of room. Kamry White is the new point of contact for all garages and camping. You can reach her at kwhite@millermotorsportspark.comor (435) 277-8031.

Normally you can start loading into the garage at 5 pm the night before.

You should ask APEX if they are ever planning on doing a trackday on the cart track! I'd like to take the tard out!

I can ask but that course is used more than the main track.

Salt lake motorsports has full track days with the while track open. At least that's what Chris from there has said. West course is fun. Used to run in it in The Fd. Never been on a bike but the funnest corner beside turn 1 is the "the 3 D's"

MMP does run a couple full track days a year. The problem as you have said is they are Open sessions and the Friday or Saturday before a race day. Which means you will be out there with a bunch of racers who will be stuff people in corners and riding tights. Most track day people do not enjoy this type of riding.

I would make it if I didn't have to work. I've never been on my bike and I'd curious to how shitty of times I'd have.

They used to run racebikes in one session and street bikes in another. Are they doing it differently this summer?

I confess that sometimes I ran my racebike in the street session, because it was so dead. One time there were only two of us on the track

You are correct on both points. Even in the street class were racers wanting to get some practice time in before the race.

Apex just emailed me asking what is the weight of the people requesting the two up. If you are wanting a two up ride, please PM me your weight.

$40. Travis has taken a guy that was 215. It gets tough around 200 because the bike now has a 400lb rider. It just slows down the ride... And you probably know how Travis hates to go slow! I’ve take my kids (about 135lbs), and it’s more difficult to kick ass then you may think.

Ya that one.... where she had both hands out mid corner flipping us both the bird. Haha.

Seriously, we need to get together and see some of the video footage. I'll give you a call after the holidays and set something up.
