Re: 2008 Apex Track Days Schedule

Looked but couldn't find a topic for it..
Eli (Rookie) and I have thrown down our money for the June 2nd track day.
Should be fun. I'm stoked. Wanted to hit track day last year but never made it.

Re: 2008 Apex Track Days Schedule

See you guys there!
I just booked a slot in Group B.

When there's a 3 session format, its nice to take it a bit easier in Group B when there's a lot of really fast guys in A and I'll be out of practice on the track too!

Re: 2008 Apex Track Days Schedule

For any trackdays in Salt Lake City you can get a room for $40 a night. ISB has a corporate discount at the Quality Inn near the airport.
You only need to call and let them know you have a discount through IdahoSportBikes, you can have them look under my name, Ryan Smith if they have issues.

(801) 533-9000
1659 W North Temple
Salt Lake City, UT 84116 - 3127
30 Miles from track. About 36 mins of driving.

The Pedaler and I will be either crashing with my brother-in-law in West Jordan, towing a pop-up camper along, or just sleeping in my truck!

No offense intended, Ryan but the one night I stayed there was the worst night I've spent in a hotel/motel (and I've lived on the road for months at a time). The railings on the walkway rang like church bells every time someone used them and I swear they channeled sound directly into our room!

Also, for the WSBK/AMA days, many places raise their rates (or they may claim that its their normal rate and they lower the rates at lower demand times) so it may be difficult to get a room anywhere (I know that BrianW21 is on the waiting list at two hotels).

CBRF2Old and I will be there on Monday, June 2nd. I'm going to shoot for the B session again......don't want to get runned over by the fast guys We are staying in Tooele. Not the cheapest, but right next to Tracks and a quick drive to the races.

It will be good to see you out there again, Ken. I think that collectively, we need to light a fire under Karl to get the F2 finished and get him on the track as well.

Ryan,

I just called them.. They state they are under new ownership now and they have not renewed the contract. So the normal rates apply which are well over $100 that!

I've poked at him a couple of times but not sure what he is going to do. I figured if he wanted to do that, I'd go do a couple of sessions with him. Jeff (guy with the ZX-10) may come with us again. He totaled the 10 on a road trip last summer and replaced it with a GSXR-1000. I'm looking forward to getting out there again, it was a hoot.
I did help Karl get his chain back on this week while I was in Boise, so he has no excuse not to get it put together and go riding with you guys

Yeah, we spent about 20 minutes putting the chain on and then started working on his computer. The next time he came over we spent all night playing Rainbow 6 Vegas on two xbox's...

Re: 2008 Apex Track Days Schedule

Oh shoot. I haven't tried yet. Didn't realize April 5th is around the corner! I'm still trying to get ready for the track myself.

Ok. This weekend I'll try to get something lined up.

Re: 2008 Apex Track Days Schedule

I don't think I would use it for the 5th, but if for some reason I have enough money to race the 12th-13th it would come in handy.
