Race bike paint scheme idea's

Well it's time to get the track plastics ready... I'm trying to pick my design and colors. Here's a few I'm looking at. If you have a favorite post it up. It doesnt matter what brand it is or what logo's are on it. I'm looking for the basic design and colors.

Black AE

Another

White AE

Another

FIAT

What! No stars I think the black with the red looks awesome. You could also change the red and white candy canes to some other colors (like yellow ) and it would look good! The white with red scheme looks too retro IMHO. The blue and white is cool, but kinda seems cookie cutter esque as far as design and colors...

Hehe, but I basically already had that scheme for the last 2 years.

I love it, don't get me wrong. It's my favorite, but it's time for change.

Remember I ordered the kit of 402 stars?!!? What did you think that was for?
I know what you mean about the FIAT. It looks good, but it's a generic race look.

Re: Race bike paint scheme idea's

Since you asked for opinions--I think black on the track looks very plain. Actually, it looks to me like a team that's searching for a sponsor. Black looks nice on the street, though.

On the other hand, I wouldn't run Fiat stickers unless they sponsored me. Otherwise, I think the Fiat bike looks great.

Well like I said, the logo's don't matter since I have sponsors already I also wouldn't put those names on my bike. It would be replaced with one of my actual sponsors. I know what you mean about black though... It's not my favorite but I don't dislike it either. It makes me feel like my nick name should be Knight Rider or ghost rider. I haven't decided if that's cool or not. LOL

so stunters have been riding pink bikes, why don't you introduce it to the track ry? 402 pink stars in an ama track event would be a sight to see!

Re: Race bike paint scheme idea's

poof! lol!

she knows she likes them....she also knows she's just too proud to admit it....at first she told me she dont like them at all...jus the other day it was the only thing she liked was the front end....yesterday it was its the ugliest thing she has ever seen.....i think this sounds like a bad case of confusion and denial.

For the record I have always thought yammys were butt ugly... IMO that black does not look too plain at all with the sponsor lineup and the yellow. And the yellow looks bad a$$!! Way better than the red!!!

Hmm, won't touch that one... Sorry for the Ryan I was thinkin if you stuck with a black scheme you wouldn't have to buy a new tank and change it out for track days. Could be a benefit

Re: Race bike paint scheme idea's

Damn it, why does my post have to turn into a brand war! Here's my official challenge to every rider on this site. Take every 600cc and every 1000cc to the track and tell me the difference you get in lap times. Then once and for all we can see that all the tops brands perform so very very close to the same that you might as well buy the one that you like the looks of & that feels best when you sit on it cause that's the only difference you'll ever notice. BAM! LOL
Then if any 5 riders actually get 1 sec less on a fast lap I'll admit that for this year that bike has something about it that clearly out performs and makes it better than the other bikes.

But move the results of that to another thread. HAHA.

Now, why isn't anyone posting pics of schemes they like? I'm open to suggestions. So far the black and yellow is what I'm leaning towards (thanks Matt).

Re: Race bike paint scheme idea's

i just like black and yellow....and love how pissed off the R6 looks....

add yellow, thats all i can say.

i think the black and yellow candycane would be pretty sweet. wonder how it would look in flat paint versus high gloss seeing as how yamaha is on the lets mix both flats and glosses on the new bikes.

I know I could slow a yammy, a kawi, and a cbr down. You supplying the bikes and gas, and only 1 second?

Uhhh....I'd pay money to watch you and Ryan go at it on MMP alone

Anyone else want to help donate the $10,000 to rent the track for a day.

Ryan would kill me, but he didn't say we had to race him, just take each bike out and get a 1 second difference.
