I'm super busy trying to get in a new house. If you or Ming could get the room that would be awesome. We will get a garage for sure.

Are you guys not 100% the 3 bikes will fit?

It's not that bad. Once you have everything you need you just pay for the trackday, gas, and a hotel. Gas round trip is about $250, Hotel $100, track day around $190. Split that up between a few guys & it might only be $350. There is the cost of tires you'll have to think about soon too.

Re: Apex track day @ MMP Date: September 01st, 2008

just save up a thousand bucks over the winter......then when spring hits....get a hold of the regualar track riders and make sure your bike is up to inspection.........then carpool it. eat ramon noodles and drink gatorade if you have to.....either way its worth all the cash.

Dude my bike doesn't pass inspection to ride on the street. This would require a whole new bike so now it's $10,000 not $1,000.

yeah you can pick it up whenever. I wasn't on State today though.

Nobody seems to care if we get one or two rooms - 2 might be better when everyone is getting ready in the morning. If you want to reserve them, then that would be cool. I will send you a PM with my address.

Is everyone cool with leaving around noon on Sunday the 31st? I would like to be there early enough to relax and get some sleep before a long trackday and an even longer trip back.

No fees to watch. You sign in at the gate and they say you get one spectator per rider but I've never seen them actually checking against a list and never heard of anyone needing to pay.

Re: Apex track day @ MMP Date: September 01st, 2008

Does anybody have a ramp that Ryan, Sarah, Ming and myself could borrow Aug 31st, Sept 1st and return it on Sept 2nd?

The bike is almost ready for MMP. I have to add a GPS toy, and some swingarm sliders, but other than that she is ready to go.

I'll be heading to Utah on the 29th or 30th with my ramp so if you can get them loaded here, you can use my ramp to unload them and re-load at the track.

I vote for strapping it to the top of the trailer. Youtube videos show this as a safe method for transporting bikes.

WD, why don't you just borrow the back-hoe, toss the bike in the front loader and put it up there? just put the kickstand down in the bucket and it should work out ok

Feels better and better everyday. I've been off the crutch for a while now. I'm a little worried still that it might be broken, but even if it is, if it's bearable to ride I'll still be going! I can squat on the balls of my feet already so it's likely going to be ok to ride on it.

Well Zara will have 6 hours before and after to massage your foot, so it should be good and relaxed. Glad to hear its healing enough to ride.

So i "might" have found someone to trailer the bike... no guarantee yet so if anyone else has an extra spot.....
If this trailer deal works out I will still end up driving but going to talk my fiance' into letting me take her lil Honda so i don't spend an arm and a leg on gas.

In all honesty... not sure yet. I know Eli (Rookie) and a buddy of mine from here both have hotels in Tooele somewhere and from what I gather... I'd probably end up sharing a room with them....
