I am headed down for the April 11 trackday but I dont think I will be of much help to you. Did anyone else notice that there are only two trackdays with only A and B groups? The rest have three groups.
Stubby what about Pahrump on 3-21 and 3-22, I am going!

Actually, they all have three groups but some of them don't list the C group because its entirely reserved for another group.

I would love to hit Pahrump but the budget won't allow that unless someone wants to sponsor me for the race season. You going to rent a garage on April 11th or just pit outside? Are you in Twin? Either way we'll have to meet up down there. Did you ever decide if you were going to take the NRC and race this season or not?

I'd really like to make one of the early dates this year just to get my bike dyno tuned by some one who's been doing it for a couple years and not just starting. I can't remember who I'm supposed to get a hold of to schedule that a head of time

Call Salt Lake Motorsports but they aren't going to do it at the track. If dynojet is at WSBK and AMA they will tune your bike at the event before the track day, but I'm not sure if they will be there or not.

Maybe we should all convince Pat to buy a dyno for his new diesel shop so we can get tuned for our altitude?

Is any one riding down or does every one trailer there bikes cause they're all set up for the track? I'd be game to go down and just hang out, doubt I'll be able to afford the track day cause I'm going to vegas April 4th.

Always trailer or truck your bike to a track day - it might not come back in one piece. Next trip is April 11th you can go if you want

Re: 2009 Apex Track Days Schedule Poll

Well if they all have three groups how can they claim you get more track time with them? It is more money and the same amount of time as MMP trackdays. It might just be my opinion but they were exactly the same as the MMP, no better no worse. I may be rethinking the season pass depending on how the socaltrackday goes. Also look at the Sept 7 there are only two groups.

Re: 2009 Apex Track Days Schedule Poll

The 3rd weekend in March there is an open track day at MMP too if you don't want to travel all the way to Pahrump. Only one session will be cars and one session will be bikes or so I am told.

Re: 2009 Apex Track Days Schedule Poll

From what I have been told the combo of cars and bikes on the same day sucks because the cars end up throwing gravel up on the track. I have already got a spot with socal and their format seems to be a lot better. 35 riders and no sessions that is more track time than MMP or Apex. Besides it will be nice to see another track.

Re: 2009 Apex Track Days Schedule Poll

Yes the bus/transporter is ready for action, I am taking it on a test run to Disney in 3 weeks, Then It's off the the track.

I would be willing to have my Bike transported though.. because it really tiakes a bite out of my sleeping area.

So if there is trailer space available I would be willing to negotiate

Looking at the Art dates this makes sense as Group C is being reserved for the Utah Sportbike Association. There is an ART class Aprill 11th on the East track - this will be group C.

I have to ride A group for April 11th due to NRC/NRS. As for the other track days, it depends upon what I need to work on I guess. If I sign up for A, I can always drop down to b if I want to work on something that will slow me down, but I don't know for sure yet.

We could have you getting a 1:40 on the west track in a day or 2...

If by "follow you around" you mean taking the bike to the track and not being able to pass him, and "waving colors" means wearing the yellow helmet - then I say toss me the cash for the track day and im there...although I don't think I qualify for group F....probably going to need to be in Group Z

Almost there now will have to see if I can keep up with you or not. Are you going to the first track day in April? But I think with race season my lap times will drop a good bit while being pulled around the track. I'm not too sure how many track days I will be at. I will be there for April 11th, and June 1st but not too sure if I will make any others. I might hit the full track day in September depending upon funds. I will be there every month though, and one extra time in June for the california superbike school.

I can't wait for April 11th, and now April 18th for the first race weekend.

They say one of the quickest ways to get better lap times is racing! My lap times haven't gotten any better since the 1st year I started riding MMP, I only go a few times a year. I'd like to think I could be fast if I got to go 4+ times in a year & be racing haha

I doubt I'll do the first track day in April. I've been doing the first track day in April for a few years now and each time I wish I just waited til it was warmer.

We'll try to do another trackday together this season. I'd like to do the full track again. It's always fun.

We are only going to run two groups that switch every 20 minutes so you get 4 20 minute sessions for $139.

Pretty good deal compared to mmp open days where you get 5 20 minutes sessions for $206 after tax.

Im considering June12 also. just going to see what the funds are like and how many other people are going...and if i decide to just leave my bike in SLC if someone can get it back to BOI after the track day.

At Apex dates that are three sessions, you get three 20 minute sessions before lunch and four 20 minute sessions after lunch. That's 140 minutes for $199

MMP days consist of two 20 minute sessions before lunch and three 20 minutes sessions after lunch. 100 minutes for $206 after tax

We're trying very hard to keep our prices down as low as possible which is one of the reasons we started doing three session days. If I could have it my way all trackdays would be $99, but that is simply not impossible anywhere with the track rental fees which are much higher at world class track like MMP.

I totally understand the funds dilemma myself this year!

The reason we picked that Friday evening is because Keigwin's, from California, will be running the full track that Saturday and Sunday. Just in case some people want to make a full weekend out of it!
