Nice gear! As impressive as the large lenses are, is that a Leica rangefinder nestled in the corner of the bag??

so i am in for sure....thanks Loop for hooking me up to get my bike down to UT, and thanx Waldo for going to take it down. My pass is done paid for so now all it is, is just sit and wait.

As for anyone that wants a ride down there, the wife will be heading down there sometime of that Friday. If she takes the car she will have room for two people but limited on truck space as it will have my gear in it. If she takes my truck she will have room for 4 people and then all the bed for cargo. But if she brings my truck a little gas money would be nice cuz its kind of a gas hog.

So just let me know by the first of that week b4 going down to UT

I was going to say... If you only plan on doing a few track days don't go in April. Wait until the temps are up and there's less chance of rain. You'll have a much better track day on a hot/dry track.
Traction in April isn't the best. You can hit the corners much harder when it's warm out.

I agree that April weather is risky, but rain and cold doesn't kill the fun for me.

I'm such a fair weather rider it's not even funny! I only want to ride when it's 90+ degrees. When tires are hot and sticky! If the track is wet I wait until the other riders dry it up

Ask Hoz, one track day he kept bugging me to go out & I waited for about 4 sessions to pass until I went out . If I'm going to risk totaling a $9k+ bike & damaging my body, I'm going to do it riding hard! Not tip toeing around turn 1 on a wet day.

I agree--if you won't ride in the rain, don't bank on April. I'm just saying that rain can be fun, too.

Last year we only had 1 race weekend without rain. Hopefully the weather is better this year. Last April weather was perfect, although it did start raining on the way home.

Funny, I remember the one weekend you didn't go was the weekend of sunshine and no rain.... Oh well it was still fun except for the 3rd weekend with the 2 crashes and the truck breaking down in Ogden.

About a week ago I contected Dave at Apex about a discount for Military personnel and this was his response.

We are very supportive of our troops and offer a $20 discount to any active duty personnel. Enter the code “active” in your APEXtrackdays profile in the “promocode” field, and you will see the lower trackday fees when viewing a particular event’s details when logged into the site.

You MUST bring your current military ID to Tech Inspection (not just a base pass). Keep in mind that if you forget to bring it, you will be sent to registration to pay the difference before receiving a tech sticker.

Look forward to see you at the track!

Thanks,
Dave@APEXtrackdays.com

I just talked to Travis on the phone and he also authorized Reserve and retired Military.
