New rules at Firebird for gloves

for any one that was not there today, your gloves need to be kevlar lined now for what the tech said today

That sucks, seems that the only gloves that are Kevlar lined are $150+.

I Ride: Victory Kingpin, The Harley is deceased :(

Cycle Gear may still have some of the BKS Silverstone gloves left on sale for $129.00. They're the ones that I use when it is warm out.

I'm wondering how quality leather (cow or kangaroo) road race gloves would be counted as inferior to something with metal studs in it.

scott, the leather in pants and jackets is quite a bit thicker than gloves. debating whether or not you agree with the rules wont change them. and by the way the gloves are still requires to be leather, but now we need kevlar as well

The Kevlar gloves and full leather requirements were given to me a while ago. Also started a thread asking what the guys knew. So, head to toe leather is a must too?

i cant remember the et that full leather id needed but it is a must for safety!
i can see were they are coming from on the Kevlar , and yes it is more expensive but all in all it better than a skin graft right ?? as in any competitive sport you have to pay to play

FYI, Frank Thomas Xti Kevlar gloves are on clearance for $50 at Cycle Gear. About 6 pairs left, mostly XL (red / blue) with one S and one 2XL (black). I picked up pair in XL, which fit and I usually wear L in gloves. Nice gloves for $50.
