I Ride: 02' SVS 88' GSXR 750 Slingshot

To trackday or not to trackday...

So I should be home in time for the great laborday full track extravaganza at miller...the real question is after not riding for over a year should I take it to the track and knock the rust off, or just get back into the whole riding thing slowly...

Part of me really wants to go.. but the practical self preserving part says "you just finished a whole year of not getting shot or blown-up (too badly) why not just ease back into it."

The SV is ready to go...fresh oil, tight chain, good tires...

Anyway....

Don't bother with the track day. You will learn more playing MotoGP on your XBox. And don't forget to change your name to "Nancy", and pick out a gynochologist while you are at it.

I can't think of a better place to learn to ride or get back into riding than the track... how would the street be better in anyway?

track day, you can knock off the cobwebs in a much safer environment, with MUCH MUCH more experience and knowledge hanging around the pits than at the local bike knight, and Shizzzz, it's WAY more fun on the track.
