Succor Creek with Kids - How to get there?

Hey guys... First let me tell you about the ride we are looking for. We will be in a Honda Odyssey minivan with trailer in tow, so we can't offroad too much. I have my wife, and two young daughters with me (9 & 7), they can hold their own, but its their first ride of the season, so I wanted to do smooth trails with them.

We have our hearts set on trying to see the Succor Creek area (and we live in Nampa off Karcher). I have heard you can go through Homedale, or through Marsing.

What I need to know is this: Which way is the best way to go considering our transportation (minivan), and will work best for the kids (we are on dirtbikes BTW)

Can you also help with directions?

Sorry man, I wish I knew. I will try and find out. I myself am not familiar with Succor Creek or how to get there.

Thanks! That is helpful, though daunting... I thought you could go in around the Marsing area, like around McBride Rd or something? Anyone know?

Well we found our way... Went through Homedale then turned left on Succor Creek Rd. We drove ten miles in and parked on a side trail, unloaded, then road the remaining 8 miles to the campground and bridge. Just dirt roads for the most part, but beautiful scenery for everyone, some caves, plus the awesome creek.... Good times!!!

Thanks!

any pics of your ride?

Props to you guys. 8 miles seems like a lot for 7 & 9. Way to go!

I have a buddy that leads Jeep runs out in that area every year and is an expert at the roads/trails but I saw your thread too late to get you hooked up. I'm interested in taking my family out that way also and dirt roads are just fine.
