Boise trials school with Brian Roper and (possibly) Cody Webb

Just got am email that the class has been canceled. There are not even 10 people who ride trials in/around Boise. Oh well, I'll keep posting up some pics and rides (more like practice sessions) and hope it gets more people interested. Maybe when we are riding in the winter and people are wishing they could go for a ride it will spike some interest.......some weird kind of supply (A place to ride with others) and demand (riders or those who want to ride) thing.

That's right now you have a chance to learn from the top trials riders in the nation. If you ride trials, or trails and want to improve your skills or if you are just trials curious now is the chance to learn from the best.
Plus....there are only a few trials riders in Boise and we would like to see more people enjoy this challenging 2 wheel sport. All levels of riders are welcome from absolute beginners to experts. The class will be held Sunday Oct. 28 in a beautiful riding area in Melba overlooking the snake river.
The cost is only $45! Even if you do not want to ride trials just watching what they do on a trials bike is worth it!

Even if you are an off road rider you will pick up some new skills. They are competing in the Endurocross Saturday at the Idaho Center. So they are serious off road riders as well as trials riders.

I had the opportunity once to watch a pro trials event and It was awesome. They do such amazing maneuvers. I'll never understand how the bounce from rock-to-rock
The event location is where you've been doing your riding as well so that's cool

I Ride: In the dirt

Endurocross is at the Idaho Center this weekend. Not quite trials, but racing thru and over some serious obstacles.

Yea the stuff they do is just incredible. Hey if you ever want to give it a shot let me know and you can ride my bike. The thing I really like is that the regulars ride almost every week, year round. I was really bummed about winter and putting the bikes away for 6 months......but now I can ride almost every week. Plus it is a great work out.

I appreciate that and will have to take you up on that sometime since I've never ridden one and always wanted to.
Winter can be a bummer for sure and they close off a lot of the foothills FS roads and trails because of the mud so no ridding even on good days.

Wayne and Rob, anytime you want to try a trials bike you are welcome to take mine for a spin to see how you like it. I gotta admit, it took me 3-4 sessions before I got good enough to ride the really fun stuff. Before that it was just practicing turns and balance and throttle control. Did I mention that I looped it the first time I rode it? Just wanted to go over a small rock and hit the gas, dirt bike style, next thing I know the bike is in the air vertical with me behind it and when the back tire hit the ground it took off. Still fun. Plus I realized that it will take some time to get good enough so that when I crash I can really get hurt. LOL

What a bummer that it was cancelled. Like you say, just not enough demand for them to put on the class. Getting the word out that there is a riding area and guys willing to instruct new riders is a good thing though.

Thanks again for the offer to ride sometime and I've made note that they have ejector rocks looking to send newbie riders airborn.
