I Ride: Husqvarna SM610 | Favorite Riding Locations (with directions/maps)
For those who don't know where to ride (like me!), I'd like to get a thread going with suggestions of places to go with brief descriptions and maps of how to get there. If you've got a riding area you'd like to share (whether you think everyone knows about it or not), please post it in this thread. |

I Ride: Husqvarna SM610 | Re: Favorite Riding Locations (with directions/maps) Hemmingway Butte General Location: Just south of Melba in the Reynolds Creek area. Riding Type: Mostly open desert trails with some "open play" areas and some good hill climbing as well. Skill Level: Beginning to advanced intermediate (I haven't seen an major advanced stuff yet). Stay to the left for some wide open trail areas and stay to the right for more technical and rocky areas. Map: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...3838&z=10&om=1 |

I will be headed to Pleasant Valley on July 5th if anyone is interested. I will have two other guys with me that one has never rode a bike before and he has asked me to show him the ropes. I plan on starting him out on a raptor 250 to get a feel for the clutch, shifting & braking. Then he will be jumping on a TT-R230 and we will start out headed on the trails towards some climbs then to a little track like area. Not too sure how long we will be out since it depends on how much he wants to learn. I will be leaving my house in Kuna by 10:00AM, hit the gas station next to Pauls Market in Kuna. Directions: Headed south on Cloverdale, left on Kuna Mora, Right on Pleasant Valley Rd - go over the railroad tracks, follow fence line and pass the dirt bike park, the fence will continue at the end of the dirt bike park continue to the end of that fence line, then about another 1/4 mile or so on the left side you will see an open area that looks like a large dirt parking spot, go to the end of that on the left you will see a spot to pull in and follow that around to your left and park. Will have a white dodge durango with a white 14' enclosed trailer. This ride is to teach one or possibly two people how to ride, basics, and enjoy a little time outdoors. You are more than welcome to join us, feel free to PM me or call. Don 409-8716 These plans can be changed without prior written permission: But I will still be kind enough to let you know why or if. |

I really enjoy the ridge road up 8th street for trail riding, an extension of that is pine creek from Bogas Basin parking lot. For big air, or at least it was when I was a kid since I haven't been there in years is the bottom of lucky peak when they drain it. You park at Robie Creek boat ramp and head in from the other side of the bridge. I have plans to get down there this fall.
