Sandbox riding

My brother and I are heading to St. Anthony Sand dunes on. The weekend of august 20th to playin the sand. Seeing if ne1 would care to join us. Never been there but I hear they have a great campgrounds with full hookups and they even have showers to wash the sand out of ur crack...

Ne1 ever been there before? I'm sure it will be alot more fun then steck park since it is quadruple the size let's go party in the desert!!!

I've been there. It's more then triple the size of steck. Just watch what your doing because the sand will fall out from under you if your not paying attention.

I Ride: As often as possible!

I have been there many times. It is for sure my favorite place to ride! I might be going down there that weekend as well. I will be out at steck this weekend working on getting my 500 dialed in. I got to make sure there are not going to be any bugs that need ironed out before I subject this bike to some big dunes abuse...

Hopefully my little yz125 can handle it out there. Might have to bring the atv just in case...

how much do you weigh? the dunes are really hard on little bikes. the camping facilities are nice, we stayed at the ones that are on the east end of the dunes so you have to load your bike up to get to the big stuff but its fun around the camp too. You should take your atv, the 125 will be hatin life and you will be hatin it even more

I use to fun my YZ 125 out there. It does fine! You just have to keep it pinned in 3rd-4th or higher depending on if your climbing or not.

I weight 160 soaking wet...I've never had any power issues with it before in the sand but never in dunes of that magnitude... I think she will be fine. She is dailed in and has quite a few aftermarket goodies so it's not stock. I will bring the atv neways.

WD... Got my flags... Had them for two years and I finally am going to use them ne suggestions on mounting

Do I need a paddle tire?? jk

Myself and a buddy will be on our way to steck in a half hour or so. If anybody goes out there stop and say hi. I will be the one with the cr500 and the yz250 out there and my buddy will be riding an rm250.

Shower at night, say 3 am. Its the only time there is ever even lukewarm water in that bathroom! I'm dying to go to the dunes.

You could always build a bracket to mount from your rear muffler bracket. They can be bought but shouldn't be difficult to build.
