DVD is going good. I'd say 95% done, as in ready for the public. Already had a small audience watch it and they thought was good. They weren't riders so i wasn't expecting much from them. ![]() I'll actually have a couple ready for Wednesday if anyones interested or leaving for the holidays. |

well to my great disappointment after 3 dvd burns or attempts to burn it came back with errors. So i was going to include all of my videos that i've done on the dvd but looks like it will just be the main BRN video. So for the release date of today will be postponed until tonight hopfully. ![]() I'd be up for more videos ryan, so when we meet up to get ya the copy of the BRN dvd, i'll grab your dvd. |

Ok, let me know if you need help with authoring DVD's. I've done quite a bit of it. Along with encoding, editting, ripping, burning, etc.

Why is it taking 2-3 hrs? Are you burning at the slowest speed possible? Although it is best to burn at low speeds for quality, if you are just testing to see if the DVD plays, burn fast! What brand/model/version of dvd burner are you using and what brand of media? |

Got a Dell DVD-RW burner that burns around x12. Using Nero to burn. And sadly that is the fastest i can burn, 3-4 hrs for a full dvd. Just for the BRN video it only takes 25 mins to burn. Atleast thats all it took last night. I converted the files from .wmv to .avi and that seem to make it burn faster and it worked. Started to burn one b4 i went to bed, a full dvd and woke up to find out that it didnt work again...I think i might have it narrowed down as to why but it'll take a couple more dvd's and hours to find out.

If anything you could send babycakes down to twin falls with the DVD on a Flash drive if you have one and I can burn the DVD's for you and send the rest back with her.

12x is fast for DVD-R, it shouldnt take hours. Nero must be encoding the files also. I think you're best bet is to use TMPGEnc DVD Author. you'll get good clean .vob's ready for burning. You wont need Nero to do anything but burn, not encode. TMPGEnc products are your best friends when it comes to encoding and syncing. AVID and Premiere Pro are best (on PC) when it comes to Video Editing. Nero is best for burning (on PC). Let me know if you need any help. |

Well if you've ever used Nero there is an opition to have a slide show. So i had all the videos on the dvd then the slideshow with everyones bike and random pixs. Turns out that, the slideshow was having some errors and would ruine the whole dvd. Got one "full" dvd minus the pixs. So its working now. Burn time, roughly 2 hours. Think it said 3.98 gigs on the dvd. I'll hve to try out some of those other burners and see how they do. Everything else have adware or their logo on the dvd or cost money. 1ce <---------is a cheap bastard!! thx for the info! |

I think you should be burning with Nero. Nero with the right setting and DVD-R will have the highest compatibility with stand alone dvd player. As for encoding, TMPGEnc use to be freeware... some versions may still be. There is a freeware version of AVID DV, there is no "free" preimere pro. |

| Re: 1ce's Videos
well nero is the best so far. Just a b!tch to find out what was currupting the whole dvd. Adobe has a dvd burning opition but with the version i have..*cough* "free" *cough*..ii'm pretty sure its missing some opitions cuz i couldnt get it to edit the dvd menu and what not. I'll try out these other burning software and find the one i like b4 i reformat. Quote:
I'll b burning DVDs upon requests now. So let me know when you want to meet up and i'll burn prior to that. | |

Well yesterday was my day off and I spent it well. I formatted my computer and now I can surf the internet without it crashing every 10 mins. I'll burn some more Dvds and let the remaining of you know when they're done and send them out. I also got a new 17" flat screen and a sh!t load of paintball guns, balls and gear! So i'll post up if anyones wantin to paintball with us (we usually do it outside and not in arenas- cheaper) we should hve more than enough gear for a couple extra noobs. But for the best part! Also got a nice digital VIDEO camera! PV-400D |

We need to meet up so that I can grab a DVD as soon as you've burned a few more. As for paintball, if I ever get some $$ I'm not spending on my bike, I'd love to get into it. I've been once or twice and its a lot of fun. The Pedaler and Gr8Dane have gear and like to go, I believe that AlxanderTheGr8 goes too. |
