?Get some $$? Na, thats why we got a "sh!t" load of gear. 5 guns (gotta make sure all are funictional) 2 CO2s but will have to look into getting more. So only thing that I need is, as nick put it, more balls. We got more guns and CO2s somewhere, just gotta find them.

I have all the gear for paintball, so count me in when you guys go. I have about 5 or 6 friends that all go too, so we could have a pretty big crowd.

Re: 1ce's Videos

Sweet that'd b kool! Hey i've only actually been paintballin a couple times. But heres the prob. Went out when sun was still up this evening. Guns shot but were really weak and wouldnt cock back. So i'd have to cock it everytime - guns are semi auto. We went to a garage, adjusted some screws and after bout 5 mins they worked fine. Took them back out to the desert and one gun worked for a couple mins then did the same thing again. My gun stopped working again... ? I'm guessing its took cold out for the guns-CO2s to work properly? Anyone have any ideas? I'm going to it and see what i can findout there. If we can get them working, we're going to give it another shot again 2morrow (Sunday)

**after googling my question, i did find out that CO2 is pretty much useless when its colder than 50 degrees outside...**

Re: 1ce's Videos

I've changed the background music for the DVD. A couple people that i met up with last weekend got that DVD thot it made it more...comical...but as for the more recent dvd's i'm making i'm adding a really rough draft of some of my helicopter flights. Very back of the dvd. U don't have to watch it, but i was using that footage as a test verison of the next BRN video. So u really only need to watch the first 3 minutes or so to get the idea of what i'm doing.

So ya that mean i hve more dvds read to give out. I'll bring them as we meet up for rides. So i'll have some for this Sunday ride if we're not out paintballin

Re: 1ce's Videos

Ok,so how does the new cam record? And how much did it set you back? I have a sony dcr-dvd92 that i mounted up to my bike and unfortunately it wont work because it can't write to the dvd because of too much vibration... so i'm selling that cam and looking for another, what should I be looking for? What will I be most successful with? Trying to stay under $250 if possible.

Re: 1ce's Videos

The camera i have is a couple years old. Think its runing around $250 on ebay. As for the quality, its awesome! But for quality on the bike, not so great...shaky. I still need to play with some vib absorbers or something to make it better. I thot the shot stabalizer would help but it doesnt seem to do anything when on the bike. Hell, the digital camera took better videos (less shakey). I'd post up some footage of what i've gotten latley but just been busy with other things and haven't gotten into getting that done.
Same goes for the BRN movie, i need to degrade the quality and post it on youtube....
So for a recommendation on a camera no idea. If i were to get another, i'd want one with a video input (think mine has that, but dunno) and get a helmet cam. And one that uses memory sticks, hard drive or something. Just to make it easier to put on computer and edit. Let me know which cameras yourthinkin about and i'll do some research.

Re: 1ce's Videos

ok, sounds good, I've found a couple jvc hard drive cams on ebay around the 250-300 range but don't know how the hard drive's will hold up after being jolted around on a bike for awhile... I'm thikin of finding something with SD card capability or some sort of flash memory... let me know what you find and I'll do the same.

Re: 1ce's Videos

No No, i believe hoz was on the same page, cuz that listing didnt even have the manufactures name on it. After further investigating the item it was pretty basic. I mean ur looking for a video camera for a good deal. So you get what you pay for but in this case it isnt bad. But it doesnt have an input jack and i'm not sure if thats something your looking for. I did find the same one for cheaper and it wasnt on ebay.

http://www.chinavasion.com/product_i...mmc-slot-16mb/

The link below is a slightly better one, smaller, more internal memory and more versatile. They both take SD memory cards which is a big plus. We used a 512 mb which holds 27 mins of 640x480 video. The only down side is the frame rate. If you look at my videos then compare with dav's video you'll noticed a difference. Let me know what else you find, and i'll talk to crash who just got a nice camera that looks like the one below but his has an video input and i'll get back to you.

http://www.chinavasion.com/product_i...0-degree-thin/

otherwise between the these two i'd take the thin one.

Re: 1ce's Videos

Ahhh... ok, well I've opted for something that does have an input and also has USB(hopefully easier to get video to the PC) but don't know if the USB is for transfer of pictures from the SD card or video from the tape... I purchased a JVC GR-D90U. Paid $109.50 If the quality is not very good then at least I have something for Video in from a Bullet cam. Thanks for the input, and I could prob. use more after I get some video and want to do some editing(I'm a rookie)

Re: 1ce's Videos

Nice, but do u have a tank mount? I've been meaning to get a helcam of some kind but got other more important expenses...

I'm thinkin the usb is just for the photos and possible for short videos that are stored on the sd card. Does the camera have a firewire port?

Re: 1ce's Videos

Yeah, I do have a tank mount, and am hunting for a helmet cam but jeez they're expensive(at least for a descent one). As for the firewire... I don't think so, all info I found said USB, nothing about firewire. So if the USB won't transfer video then how do I get the video from tape to comp.? There has to be some type of RCA to USB setup or something, eh?

Re: 1ce's Videos

the USB should tranfer the video to your PC, do you have the interfacing program installed on to your pc that works with you camera and OS?

you should also have an auto detect so when you plug in your camera the program should just pop up. mine does.

Re: 1ce's Videos

from what the photo shows, it looks like the USB disk is you USB driver disk, and the JVC disk is your interfacing program.

Re: 1ce's Videos

It looks like it is a "MiniDV" right? To my knowledge, all minidv will have a firewire port. USB "should" work just fine. I do know that Adobe Premier has issues pulling video from a USB though, but thats just what I use. I'm sure you'll be fine to start with whatever software it comes with.

Re: 1ce's Videos

Ur camera:

IEEE1394 (Firewire) output: Yes

So if you have probs with the USB, you may have to use the firewire, and if u have to use the firewire u have to buy a firewire port if u dont already have one. Everything that i've read, to get the video from the miniDV to the computer you need to use Firewire. For the pictures and simple videos on that are stored on the memory or sd stick, is transfered via usb.

But i did find some thing interesting is this link below, its Firewire to USB. But no one seems to want to sell the item other than Pixela who wants $90 for the cable and seems like u have no choice but to get the software as well...

http://esd.element5.com/product.html...0&noquickbuy=1

After looking around for more info on the Firewire to USB 2.0, i found some for $119.00 on other sites, but then ebay came to the rescue and found it for only $15, but its coming from Australia. I'm thinkin about getting it just b/c i've been hving probs with my firewire.

Re: 1ce's Videos

Ahhhh... That is pretty nifty, didn't even know a conversion cable existed. Fortunately my notebook has integrated firewire so I should be in good shape. As soon as my camera arrives I'll try it out and see what I get... thanks for the info and will definitely keep in touch, prob. gonna need some guidance when editing time comes.

Re: 1ce's Videos

Well, this just sucks, I got my camera today and took some sample video just to see if I could transfer to the pc easily... not gonna happen. The manual says that the usb and the "DV" ports are used to transfer pictures(not video) from the SD card and no option to transfer video from the tape... However it does have an a/v out, so is there any kind of hardware that I can plug RCA cables into and plug into my comp. via usb/firewire?

What i've read on his camera, the specs said there was a firewire output. Without looking at the camera, i can't b a 100% sure. If for some reason there isnt, there are kits tthat convert rca to usb to your computer.

Re: 1ce's Videos

Looking at the User Manual for that on JVC's Site... http://books.jvcservice.com/download...8333/29531.pdf
Shows it does have a firewire port. So if you don't have firewire already... you'll need the following.
Firewire Cable - http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...oduct_Id=70666
Definitely don't need somethign that long. But at least you'll know what your looking for
Firewire card - http://cgi.ebay.com/4-PORT-IEEE-1394...QQcmdZViewItem
Honestly this will be a lot better option IMO rather than getting an RCA-USB converter.

Re: 1ce's Videos

okay, so I'm gonna try out the firewire cable first since that was cheaper than the rca adapter.
I found a cable on ebay for a total of like $4.00

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...7362&rd=1&rd=1

And found the rca adapter as well for about $30.00

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...9823&rd=1&rd=1

And yes, I guess you could say that I am somewhat of an Ebay Kung-fu Master, young grasshopper... wax on, wax off...lol

Well, well, well, I got my cable in the mail today and tried it out... Wa-Hoo!!! it works, and quite well I might add. Only prob. is that the AVI file is huge and I am wondering if anyone knows about maybe an inexpensive(or free) software for reducing/splitting/editing the files?

Ahh.. haven't even tried that, I'll give it a shot. Also found out that I can use windows Vista video import to create WMV instead of AVI files, which end up being A LOT smaller, but still need to edit out the boring stuff. I'll try movie maker, Thanks

Hows the video editing coming raptor man? I started out using Windows Moviemaker but wanted more effects so i had to move on. I recommend searching the internet for movie editing software and downloading some trial versions to see what you can really do!

Re: 1ce's Videos

Well I haven't got much video to edit, haven't really gone on any serious rides to get any... but I took some sample video and been messing around with movie maker, it works alright, but like you said- not much in the effects area. So the trial versions, leave watermarks, or only limited amount of video and not alot of options without making a purchase... looks like I may have to just purchase something, any suggestions there?

Re: 1ce's Videos

Hows the videos coming raptor-man?

As most of you know, Hoz and I were at the R2SL/MMP track. Couldn't get all the footage i wanted but still got a lot of good stuff. Currently working on the track footage to make a "First Track Day" movie but i'll also probably...maybe...well...IDK, get around to getting the BRN movie on the net also.

I'll cut through my footage of this weekend at the track and get just the "highlights" of the track day video too

Re: 1ce's Videos

Tag along uh? You'd better bring your bike b/c altho it is exciting to watch me go around the track passing people left and right you'd want to get out there too.

And its true what they say about the track....its very ADDICTIVE

They even have classes for track day(like rehab for druggies..or britney spears
), expect its not to quit Again thanks dave for getting me down there, and if you ask nikki, she hate the track already b/c i keep talking about it and keep bugging her about when we're going 2 the track again!
