once froyo is available for the galaxy it will be just as good if not better than the nexus. the reason the nexus is so gangster is because froyo optimizes the os on the nexus very well. the galaxy processor and screen are the best in the market though. nobody can touch it.

i agree, i wasnt dissing the galaxy, just saying nexus 1 wins as of right now.

im just glad t mobile is finally competing in the android market again after the g1 idk what they were thinking for a couple years.

technical specs yes the nexus one isnt the top of the charts, i hate motoblur, snapdragon is a better processor, the nexus one screen is sub par, but the nexus one will receive 2.2 android first.

however htc sense is amazing imo, point being all of these phones do more than we need a phone to do.

I just got my Mytouch 3g slide yesterday. Pretty awesome so far. Ill never own an non android phone.

enjoy the slide it works pretty well, the genius button is amazing for voice activated dialing, texting, opening apps, and getting directions.

Romo brings up a good point, technical specs aren't always what makes a phone the best, as far as user experience goes. I was anti-iPhone but I had to start using one when a company I worked for supplied them (FREE) & since then I've never cared for another phone, I love the iPhone the most, currently. I'm on my 3rd iPhone. I don't think I'll get an iPhone 4 however.

There is already talk that soon the Driods will come with 1080p so I'd change phones then, Only if it could play my .mkv blu-ray rips and dvd rips. I'd like to have a phone replace my current notebook as my media center. i like the 3gs the 4 tho i am not as fond of, the hold back on the droid x for ur file type is that the processor in these phones is still too slow and ram is too little for blu ray but give it a year and well be there i bet, i cant believe we have hdmi outputs from a phone wtf.

I know! They are saying the next release of Droids will have 2.0Ghz CPU's or dual core CPU's from nVidia. It's amazing that soon a phone will server as my phone, GPS, web browser, & home theater media center. It's going to be a GPS, Phone, & notebook all in one.

There's video cards with 480 cores... Slightly different than say a desktop CPU but nVidia has multi-core processors down!! It will be simple for them to do dual, quad, etc etc cores on the smaller phone CPU's. It's just a matter of time and money.

true i guess i just hadnt really thought about it, this is still ridiculous soon enough they will have a projector by the camera so we just need a white wall and darkness.

you should just make sure to not do cocaine then, i am about to finish my chemistry major and cocaine is literally one of the hardest compounds to synthesize, now lsd, thats pretty simple.

so ill write the synthesis, we find someone to program the app, and we charge 100 dollars for the app and we all have new bikes in no time.

The barcode stuff is going to end up being a ad portal. Imagine you are walking around with AR glasses & when you look up at a sign, it normally only has a barcode but with the classes or through your phone you see 3D holograms & video AD's playing...

i will say i use a coupld of the coupon apps (i know i know but coupons are cash) just use the camera to scan the barcode and it searches the internet for a coupon then have the cashier scan the coupon off the phone screen.

I use to use the membership card one. So my co-op, albertsons, golds, etc barcodes were on the phone & you just scan the phone.

Now I use a restaurant app so when I'm not sure what's around I just hold my phone up and start pointing it around & it displays what is where. Super handy.

No Romo. I wish. Tmobile employees like Ming and my wife get 2 phones a year. They are discounted depending on your tennure with the company. My wife has been there for over 5 years so the mytouch slide and the galaxy were her free phones for the year.
